jon is correct on that karen, i have one the same but an imported one. there should be ridges on the pump to fit into the lid & should be an extra piece of plastic pipr that runs across the foam filter in the hood, like a spray bar. if i mite suggest though try it out first because mine is very noisy so i wouldnt disconnect your other filter till you see if it is noisy. happy days

now come on karen dont tell me you cant read chinese, i dont know what the world is comeing to, just checked mine. it DOSNT fit in the hole of the third pic. the first pic a bit blared but if im right the small pipe fits UP through the first pic and rests on or through what looks like a rubber gromet, the hole in the third pic is were the water goes back into the tank. mine also has a bracket that stops the pump falling into the tank. hope this helps.

glad yougot it working mine did come with a sponge but to be honest i find it hard to see how this one bit of sponge does everything! clean, and build up bactiria? ?? may be i am missing somthing (like a brain) if you can get the motor to sit right or may be pack it with a bit of sponge that might help reduce the vibration. i cant turn the flow down on mine, its just set to do what it has to do. i havnt realy looked to see if anything can be done to be honest i got fed up with it and its still in the box unused. happy days

I sorted the flow problem and its not as half as noisy as it was either So i'm gonna see how it gets on as for sponges mine has three parts for sponges.
