It has come to me attention that certain members, no matter how good there attention is, is supplying information to other members helping them with their problems as fact. I have noticed that this is far from the truth in some cases. We appreciate all the help that members give to each other. A lot of people here spend a lot of their time writing to other members and it is really appreciated..
Please do not state posts as fact unless you know it to be so. IME and IMO (In My experience and In My Opinion) should be used if posssible to describe a solution to a problem unless you know it to be factual.
We all care for and love our fish and I would hate any member to lose fish because of info recieved from our site no matter how good the intention.
We are learning all the time, that whats fish keeping is all about. Lets make it a great site.
Thanking you.....Anthony

Nobody said they didn't want you help catfish. What anthony means is dont give advice to people if you dont know what your talking about. And by the way this is for not any particular person its for everyone.

i been told by other sites to keep my advice to my self. one even told me to leave and never to come back. plus most sites , not all now ,if i ask the question. i never get an answer to it. i am a member of about 50 to 100 forums. but i only take part in under 5 of them. so when i see that i juess figuer it was me, if you can see my point.
i will not name names on what forums they was.

Thats fine i do see you point. Everyone is welcome to give advice on the forum, we just ask to state thats its your opinion or from your experience rather than passing it off as fact because everyone has different experiences.

Thanks karen. That post was no ment for anybody in particular but for all so we can have a more fact filled forum that people will feel safe in taking advice. I personally would not give advive to someone as fact unless I had personal experience or indept knowledge on a problem. We don`t anybody here losing their fish(which can be very expensive) because of unknowingly recieving dangerous information, no matter how well intended. Everybody is open to suggestions and they are well appreciated but the post should be worded so it looks like a suggestion unless you are sure the info supplied is safe and effective. I hope I did not frighten anybody off from posting :mfr: thats what were here for. Thanking all ...Anto.
