tench are a green coloured fish quite slimmy and tend to live at the bottom its a very nice looking fish but hard to get its known as the doctor fish

come on guys! there's way more then five types of coldwater fish!
I like pygmy sunfish and pumpkinseeds... most sunfish are pretty nice ^_^

How about the White Cloud Mountain Minnow. when i had cold water fish, i kept some of them they last forever also there are quite a few barbs that prefer cooler water ticto barb,rosy barb,two spot barb, to name a few

WCMM are very nice, but they aren't true coldwater... they do do best at lower temps (15-20C) but anything under 15C is much too cold so it's more accurate to call them sub-tropical.

While normal temperature range of the species in the wild is 18–26 °C (64–72 °F), it can survive water temperatures down to 5°C (41°F); this makes it an ideal fish for keeping in an unheated aquarium in cold climates. i kept these fish for years i think i lost the first one after about 4 years they can live for 10 so Ive read a very adaptable fish , but then gold fish thrive at sub tropical temperatures ,so do pygmy sun fish from Florida, i think most fish are adaptable sub trop/cold
