hi irishfishkeeper,i would go for corydoras catfish,i have a 180ltr and have a few corys in it.have a look in profiles,i put up a photo of one of my cory sterbais,i also have corydoras adolphoi, they are stunning,a bright red patch behind the head.another favourite is khuli loaches, but these often remain hidden during the day.both of these must be kept in groups,at least 3 corys or 6 khuli minimum.my rio 180 has 10 corys at the moment,as long as water changes are done, should be okay.good luck with decision!

another interesting option are the freshwater gobies.there is an article in the latest pfk mag about them.i have one,a mogurnda mogurnda from australia/new guinea which is briefly refferred to in that article as "growing to pan-sized fish or finger eating monsters",so i probably wouldnt recommend him(he's a great character though)however if you google some of the names they give you might find something suitable.try; rhinogobius cf. flumineus pseudogobiopsis oligactis sicyopus zosterophorum stiphodon thats just a couple of them.something to look at anyway, could find some very interesting characters there.i know from diving that when on a reef you could be surrounded by schools of amazing fish, but if you go close and stay still, you will see many of these(well marine ones)poke their heads out,and are quite entertaining.

I have 2 Pakistani (Yo-yo) loach and they are absolutely brilliant to watch, always busy and VERY inquisitive, and they get on well in my community tank, I rate them very highly. Will get 4 or 5 more when I get bigger tank (Rena 150, hopefully!) later on this year
