Hi
When I start a new thread or reply to a post it seems to take a while for all the smilies to appear and when I first posted on the forum I could only see 1 or 2 in the smilies window above the message box. I thought that was all there were until I clicked in that box and suddenly they started to appear :pup:
They are great smilies but I think that because they are very graphically intensive they take a while to download and I wonder how people on dial-up get on with them?
Does anyone else have this problem or is it just me?

If you are running on dial up the graphics are going to be slow to load. There's little that can be done about it. You may want to try deleting your cookies and temp Internet files. After doing so defrag your computer. That will gain you a little more speed on graphics loading.

I'm not on dial-up, I'm on an 8Gb broadband connection and I only recently deleted my temporary internet files. My hard-drive is defragged regularly every day - I have Diskeeper running 24/7.
Most graphics load instantly on my PC and I don't normally have any problems.
As it happens just now they did load instantly but when I posted in another thread I had to load the page twice before I saw them.

So, in that case I would have to guess the slowness in due to the browser you are using?? I'm on high speed cable/IE and have no problems with the graphics loading here. How about everyone else?

I'm using IE6 with SP2 and in most cases I don't have any problems with it.
The graphics have just loaded instantly right now so my guess would be that the server where the forum is hosted is sometimes a bit clogged and takes a while for the images to load :l:
It would be interesting to hear from others on this subject - I wonder if anyone else is experiencing the same problems? :mfr:
