LOL Karen. I don't think there is such a thing. You buy them and they run quite for a bit and then they just go nuts with the noise level.

Rena do a good one ,and is very quiet ,but i think they all make a racket when they are on the way out lol

Those old fashioned cast iron piston pumps are supposed to be very quiet, I have been trying to buy one for a while now.

nearly all air pumps work on a diaphram system, a piece of rubber attatched to the side of the inside and vibrated by a push rod. it is the vibrating of the rubber that makes the noise so nearly impossiable to get a no noise air pump of this type. although they are a lot quieter now than they were years ago.
