Yesterday she didn't eat, and although she was swimming we noticed she would sometimes be resting on the bottom. This morning my Daughter found her up against the filter intake... Dead. I don't know what happened to her. Had just done about a 30%water change on Tuesday, added the water conditioner, and 1tsp of Cycle 1 hr after. also changed the filter at that time. It's a bio filter, so you just chuck it out and replace it every 3-4 weeks. water stats at that time were..... PH ~7.6 amonina~ no trace nitrates~ 0.1 Water temp~ 78 The stats remain the same today. And the other fish appear to be fine. Gosh I hope we don't lose anymore.

Not sure Mike, she was fairly round. Thankfully everyone eles is fine, so seems to be an isolated case.

I was thinking the same as mike, but i now see in your signature 1 male and 1 female plattie, i would say now she probably died from stress aswell. A ratio of 1m to 2 or 3 females is what is needed so the females dont get stressed, i would say he was harrassing her constantly.

I thought that maybe an issue too Karen. we did keep a close eye on her, just to be sure he wasn't bugging the crap outta her.. LOL Some days he was and others he didn't. Of couse when we bought them the FS never said anything about that ratio. I found out much later. And then Our tank couldn't hold anymore fish.
