what is the easiest way to do a gravel vac in a fry tank, theirs about 50 fry in a 9 gallon tank, theirs no stones or anything in it just plastic plants, so how do i do this without sucking the babies up? they are everywhere.

It's best to keep fry tanks substrate free Kelly as they are so much easier to keep clean. Just be really careful when doing the gravel vac try and chase the fry to one side of the tank and clean the other, then repeat the process.

ok kelly there really is'nt many options here, if you cant do what mike has told you why dont you try and catch some of the fry and put them in a container or something like that and then use your gravel vac, that way there isnt as many fry in the tank, so it would be a bit easier.

You could get a tank divider, a solid one that they cant get thur and start at one end with it and slowly move it across the tank pushing so to say the fry all to one side. Then vacuum and repeat on the other side.
