found a snail in my tank last night. must have got him with the new plant on thursday. its tiny. only about 1/4 of the size of a drawing pin head. any body know what to do with them, how to keep them or will the rainbows eat it? cant give any more info at present cos can hardly see him it that small.

ignore him and he'll probably survive. yes, the rainbows will very likely have a chew at him, but what are the chances of the finding him in your tank? if you want to care for him, feed him cucumber and keep in warm water

If u have found one snail, Its quite likely there will be others. They don't call them pests for no reason.

It could be a mystery snail, if it is then they get quite big, live for years and they are livebearers
