I got a nice big peice of mopani wood today for my tank and i will taking out driftwood i have,will my pleco still eat mopani wood or not?

hi ifk be carefull with the wood. i am not 100% sure if that is what i wanted for the 240, but it is similar. when i had it in soak b4 setting the tank it grew some fantastic mould on it and even a week later in the bin of water i left it in it was still there. i dont know if it was problem with the wood or what.

That sounds fairly nasty mralgae but so far i have the wood soaking in a bucket of water it seems ok so far.

Ifk i should have asked but what kind of pleco have you got because britlenose plecs dont like bogwood because its too hard for them so you need to have it fairly soft before adding it to your tank
