Hey, over the last few days a pink blister or sore has came up on my silver molly's side, has anyone any idea what it is or how i could treat it?

it sounds like a parasite have you checked your water stats?

Hate to be fly in the ointment but Melafix is totally useless. It only cures things that the fish would heva rid itself of anyway. Its only tea tree oil. It might be just a bite mark or a scratch. What are your water parameters. There is anti ulcer available out there. Its mainly sold for ponds but can be used in tropical tanks.

Water Parameters are: Ph 7.8 Amonia 0 Nitrite 0 Nitrate 10

Wate is perfect. Add some salt to the water too. Moloys ar brackish fish and can live in full strength sea water. I would say its an injury. If it grows let us know. Hopefully it will clear itself up. Ulcers can be cancerous. Hopefully its an injury.

still recon it was an injury or bite as opposed to external parasite. Fish with blisters can live for months.
