ok ive just doing a gravel vac and noticed all these little white worms in the gravel. what are these and will they hurt my fish? how will i get rid of these i got some out with the vac.

It sounds like Planaria. The are caused by over feeding. They like to hide under bogwood and rocks. Do a water change and remove all the ornaments/rocks/bogwood in your tank and scrub and scald them in the sink. Make sure you clean out you filther too as they can live here aswel. Do not feed your fish for a week. It very important to not feed the fish. Fish can live for weeks with no food. Do small water changes every day and add 1 teaspoon of salt to every 10 litres you change. In future make sure you feed less than what you are feeding now. Just enough that the fish can consume in about 1 minute. Always hoover up any food left on the aquarium floor as thie causes the Planaria.

No it can be fairly common. I never had it but my mate did. Caused by over feeding.ie. the food left on the aqaurium floor.

ok well their all gone now as far as i can see i wont feed my fish for a while and see how it goes.
