if u keep large predators then they may only feed on live fish, in the wild predators hunt smaller fish for food, Its just what they do to survive, And i think we can all agree that it would be cruel to let the predator fish starve.

I havn't done it,have no immediate plans to,but it may happen one day.I agree with jackpike,it's an everyday occurence in nature.Predators have evolved to catch and eat their prey,the same way their prey have learnt to avoid becoming prey. It can be an emotive issue which could branch off into allsorts of discussion re farmed animals,etc,indeed even is it cruel to put a fish in a tank,even if the tank looks 'nice' and the fish looks 'healthy'.
Anyway,that's going off the topic for tonight (The missus always gives out to me for rambling on so I'll leave it there!)

I agree to useing feeders but the only thing i hate about it is useing health fish as feeders but i do know they cant feed sick fish or course

If I had marine fish then I would consider using fresh water feeder fish to stop cross contamination.
