I know lots of people say no to putting guppies and angels together, but whats the problem with them together? will the angels kill the guppie or what?

Well some people do keep them together and they get on fine but remember angels are cichlids and can be predatory. i think it really depends on the angels personality. some may be fine some may not. So you will be taking a chance.

you also should have a large tank if you plan on keeping angels. In my experience it really depends on the angel at the moment i have two angles in my tank with guppies, white clouds and tetras and they get on fine but when i had my other angel it killed my ottos in mimutes. i would just be carefull.

An angel should be fine if you do what I did. I had guppies in my tank before I bought the angel. I then bought a young angel, and it grew up surrounded by the guppies. Angels will usually attack guppies, not because they're predatory, but because of the guppies long and colourful fins. As with all species of fish, it really does depend on the fish in question.

You MIGHT be ok if the angels are babies the guppies are adults & they're raised together...
However...an angel will eventually act like a cichlid. I raised some up together and while it wasn't a bloodbath, they'd kill one every so often.

I had them together once before and they were fine but angels can turn nasty any time they are cichlids.
