I seen these in my lfs yesterday,i didnt know there was even a fish called a dwarf plattie.how long have they been around?

I have never heard of dwarf platties. this is just a thought but are they platties they have had a stunt in their growth and their now selling them as dwarf platties.maybe someone else has heard of them.

Well it appears that you do in fact get dwarves also called red coral platy's. Unfortunately could not find anything to help except they grow to max 1.5". Will continue to search for more info.

there are about 10 different species of platy, some will get pretty large, while many stay tiny. i believe one of the smaller ones is called dwarf platy.

no, but just not as regularily sold by LFS as others.
