Here are two male Hyphessobrycon eques (ex. H. serpae) in full flare... This is the same male when he was given to me a last week... See the difference? This is why it is important not to play about with compatibility and to provide the correct water conditions for the fish which I know everyone on here does

what kittykat is saying is that the fish was colourless when she got it. the correct water stats in the tank she has, brought out the best in the fish.

they were being kept in hard water and with puffers before i got "dumped" with them... so corrected the water conditions and put with good tank mates just things every fishkeeper should do
