Have you moved your tank latley to some where that gets a lot of light and what are your water stats? i have found apple snails very good for algae and i alspo hear ottos are good. How long do you have your light on for, you may need to reduce light hours.

had same problem re my name: if tank is away from direct light then your problem is water stats in the direction of nitrAte and phosphate levels are to high, not enough plants to eat up the nitrAtes and or to much light. i had a major algae bloom and sorted out the sorce of the problem. reduced nitrAte levels added more and larger plants added phos-zorb and reduced lighting and timer switch. now have very little algae in my tank.hope this helps you.
