i'm not too up on plants but it looks like a java fern,or similar anyway.

yeah at first i thought it was java fern but im not 100% sure,its not growing in the sand but its not dieing either :Thin:

looks like 'microsorum pteropus' (java) the tell tail signs are the black spots, often mistaken for disease but actually reproductive organs.

thought it looked like it was out of the sand with the roots all around it. if it is bedded that prob why it not growing for you and will end up rotting the rhizome. is that a sword i see next to it. looks nice and healthy.
