im planning on buying moon lights for my new tank can anyone tell me if their worth buying of not and do they look good?

What exactly is the story with these? i only have one light holder in my tank but i wanted to add a moonlight, do i have to replace my normal bulb?

I've never had one but think it's just a normal fluro type bulb with certain spectrum and a low K rating pwalsh. So you'd probally need to replace your current bulb or use a double stripped fitting (/second light).
I have a mate who has put underwater LED light's in his tank that look awesome also. He has them positioned under lava rock in various spots in his malawi tank. If you run them with no overhead light it's a blue light/glow coming out through all the cracks and holes in the rock but also illuminates the tank. Looks kind of similar to that but lit from the bottom hidden beneath rocks, looks excellent I'm thinking of doing something similar on one of my tanks.

I have moon lights in both of mt 3ft aquariums they are great, i bought them from ebay cost me about £17 for one set, i got 3 lights in one set, the just stick onto the side of my tanks, you can get little rocks with moon lights in them too, but they aren't as affective as the ones i've got, hope this helps everyong :-)

I am working on getting pics of my tanks with the moon lights switched on, but because of teh flash they look like they are taken during daylight :-( I will figure out a way to get pics, lots of people want to have a look

I've tried that, i've laso tried turning off all the lights etc in my room but othing at the minute is helping, i'm going to be phoneing my brother (who is a professioanl photographer) on sunday see if he can give me some hints on how to take some pics :-) hopefully i will have some soon :-)
