no got it between 2 lfs. didnt get the eco i wanted niether, all to expensive to ship over with the weight of it for posting. the eco would have been great cos you only use that and no gravel so no chance of dissturbing when doing a clean up or moving plants around.

ok folks here it is empty tank 2 1/2 buckts of gravel tropica substrate filled in the edges so could see depth of 2" woodwork in place filling it up jug by jug all planted. notice the clearity of the water. veiw from right side view of the right side plants view of left side plants, not happy with this side at all close up of right side pretty bubbles more pretty bubbles the whole set up took me a full day, well into the late evening incuring no major problems and only 1 floater, not bad going for al that was planted. the only problem i had was with starting up the new eheim filter but that was a mistake on my part not the filter, will explain that later. the right side of the tank i am ok with but needs tweeking and to be honest i am not 100% happy with the over all out come of the set up on the left hand side of the tank, its to empty. i know the plants need time to settle in and grow but not happy with it in general. So tihis is what i have planned for that side. the extra plants are from the 60 tank which i was going to add later but sooner seems to be the case. the plants are not bedded in yet only placed to see the effect and will prob plant them tomorrow. no c02 has bee added yet and the pearing on the plants is from the the water feeding them. the c02 in the water is well in the limits as tested today and also the new c02 checker is reading the same. but that will not last as more plants go in and they start using it all up so i havnt got long to get that sorted out. well thats it for now all thats left is your comments and veiws which will be appreciated in all there forms. incase you are wondering why i have lines on the tank glass it is to do with the focal points of the layout. this is the 1:1.6 layout. i will post a link at a later stage about it.

Thats an absolute cracker mate!! you have certainly put some effort in there and I think you will be well rewarded with the results. Are you sure theres water in there!Crystal clear,is it just tap water,RO,or how have you prepped it? I think the left will fill out,but at the end of the day you are the ultimate judge of it.I reckon with your expertise and experience you will get it just the way you want,I think we've all got a tank 'right',only to roll up the sleeves and do a bit of re-arranging.

I think we've all got a tank 'right',only to roll up the sleeves and do a bit of re-arranging. if the other tank (60) anything to go by dave i still be arranging it in 12 mths time, lol. certainly no expert by far just lots of reading and fact finding, but the more you seem to read and search the more confusing the hobby becomes, usual some say do some say dont. i just go with what i thing is right or will work. if it does work even better. haha jon: the clearity is due to a long haul of juging every last drop of water in so as not to disturb the substrate, yes 240, firstly onto the dish then using the internal filter as a funnel so it seeped through the over flows. oh i forgot to mention a sore and stiff arm after all that. lol
